Intellijel first introduced the Jellymix at Superbooth 25 last year (see below). Since then, the manufacturer has further refined and improved the compact performance mixer, which is now finally available to order from Thomann*.

If you’re looking for a compact performance mixer for your synths and drum machines, you now have a very interesting new option. The Jellymix offers five stereo input channels with balanced TRS inputs and clickless mutes, the latter being one of the improvements Intellijel has made since the mixer was first unveiled. Channel 1 can also be used as a Hi-Z input for your guitar or bass.
There are two stereo aux sends, both switchable between pre- and post-fader operation. In addition, each channel has a one-knob tilt EQ for quick tonal shaping.

The master section offers two additional stereo inputs, which can be used as aux returns. Besides the stereo main output with an LED level meter, there’s a separately adjustable headphone output. This can also be used to preview the muted channels – great idea!
The filter section really sets the Jellymix apart and just screams performance. Each channel has a switch for routing it to the main mix or the filter bus. The filter design has been updated since Superbooth and is now a resonant state-variable filter with independently adjustable high-cut and low-cut options.
A character mixer at heart, the Jellymix offers numerous opportunities to drive the signals into saturation and soft clipping: from the +26 dB channel gain controls to the EQs and aux busses to the filter and stereo sum.

After Cre8audio released the Assembler only a few weeks ago, Intellijel followed suit at Superbooth and presented their vision of a compact desktop performance mixer with the new Jellymix.
Unlike the Assembler, however, the Jellymix only offers stereo channels. There are five of them, each with gain and level knobs and a tilt EQ for quick and easy tone shaping. Input 1 can also be used as a Hi-Z input. In addition, each channel offers a switchable high-pass filter for cleaning up the low end.
Furthermore, each channel offers two stereo aux sends, with individual switches for pre- or post-fader operation. The aux returns are also in stereo.

The master section includes a pair of resonant high-pass and low-pass filters. You can assign the resonance to either filter using a switch. This means that the Jellymix should be capable of DJ-style filter effects. Each channel has a selector switch for sending the channel to the filters or directly to the main output.
In addition, there’s a separate mute bus. Per-channel mute switches remove the signals from the main bus and route them to the mute bus instead, which can be assigned to the headphone output. Perfect for cueing!
