Acoustic Anniversary Collection
Gibson is celebrating 100 years of flat-top guitars in 2026 with five Gibson custom acoustic guitars from Bozeman, Montana, each in a limited edition of 100 pieces – strictly limited!
At first glance, the five western guitars appear remarkably similar, sharing a set of distinct craftsmanship details. Every model is built with a Bear Claw Sitka spruce top and finished in a high-gloss Cremona Burst nitrocellulose lacquer.
To complete the premium look, each guitar features multi-layered binding around both the top and back, accented by intricate abalone inlays along the top edge and around the soundhole rosette.
Each of the five guitars features the vintage “The Gibson” logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl across the headstock, paired with a bound 12-inch rosewood fretboard. The premium setup is rounded out with a bone nut, sleek gold hardware, and an LR Baggs VTC system—combining an undersaddle piezo pickup with an active preamp.

The five models of the Acoustic Anniversary Collection
That concludes the similarities; now let’s look at the differences. The J-45 Anniversary model features a mahogany back and sides and a slim taper neck profile. This is the most affordable, but also the simplest model in the collection.
The Hummingbird Anniversary also comes with mahogany for the back and sides and a short scale length, but here with a round neck profile, split-parallelogram inlays and, as a visual treat, the engraved pickguard with hummingbird, butterfly and flower motif.

Dove Anniversary
For model number three, the Dove Anniversary, Gibson uses flamed AA maple for the back and sides, a 25.5-inch scale length, and (fittingly) the Dove pickguard.

SJ-200 Anniversary
The luxury model of the collection is the SJ-200 Anniversary. This flat-top guitar features a back and sides made of flamed AAA maple, a two-piece maple neck with walnut stripes, graduated crown inlays, a two-bridge moustache bridge with mother-of-pearl bars, and a striking Vines and Flowers pickguard.

Advanced Jumbo Anniversary
Finally, we have the Advanced Jumbo Anniversary, with rosewood back and sides, Historic-AJ neck profile, 19 instead of 20 frets, arrow inlays, and a rectangular bridge with pyramid carving on the wings. It also features a Firestripe pickguard.
