Buchla & Tiptop Audio 230t Triple Envelope Follower and Mantis 200t Special Edition Case
Tiptop Audio continues its partnership with Buchla to bring 200-series modules to the Eurorack format. The latest to drop is the 230t Triple Envelope Follower, “another brilliant design by Don,” according to Tiptop.

The 230t module features three envelope followers (no surprises there) with 0–10V CV outs and adjustable triggers/gates with pulse response control. External signal manipulation is a definite possibility, as are internal modular sources, as Don recommended. It also adds a new CV generator to the system, this time generated by audio magnitude, according to Tiptop. “In true Buchla fashion: think unorthodoxly, and you can discover fascinating patches with the 230t.”
Tiptop has also announced a new version of its Mantis case aimed specifically at housing your 200t modules, the Mantis 200t Special Edition. Under the hood, it’s the same Mantis that you may already know, just with a highly durable, automotive-grade, varnished-wood pattern film to complement the vintage design of the Buchla modules.

Erica Synths MIDI Dispatch
I swear, Erica Synths is aiming to become your one-stop music-making shop. Synthesizers, Eurorack modules, effects, and even MIDI devices. Its latest is MIDI Dispatch, an eight-out MIDI dispatcher and the successor to the company’s first desktop unit, the MIDI Thru Box.

MIDI Dispatch is an ultra-low latency splitter that can take a single MIDI signal and divide it into eight outputs. It offers advanced MIDI filtering on a per-output basis, with individual configuration possible via the web-based configuration interface.
The device offers a single five-pin DIN MIDI input and eight outputs, plus a USB-C in to connect to your computer. You can power the MIDI Dispatch via the USB or 12V DC input.
MIDI Dispatch is available from Erica Synths for €125.

Noise Engineering Mimetic Digitwolis
Eurorack powerhouse Noise Engineering has announced Mimetic Digitwolis, the long-awaited sequel to its well-received Cartesian sequencer module Mimetic Digitalis. Referred to as MD2 in-house, the new version updates the performance sequencer with tons of user-requested features.

The new unit offers individually configurable inputs and outputs, quantizers for both internal and external signals, internal sequence-length and clock divisions, triggerable step randomization, an internal clock, and MIDI. It also features a number of different per-channel output types, including modulation CV, pitch CV, triggers, and gates, and can act as a quantizer on external CV. Each sequence can be any length from one to 16 steps, and you can navigate sequentially forwards and backwards, or with X/Y navigation.
Mimetic Digitwolis is available for preorder now for $385. Noise Engineering will start shipping on September 18 of this month.

Elta Music Selector 8 Solar Accessory Set
Attention owners of an Elta Music Solar 50, Solar 42, or Solar 42F: the company is now selling Selector 8, an accessory set to incorporate into your ambient excursions.

The heart of Selector 8 is the passive selector switch box. It offers eight inputs and a single output, each with both 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm jacks. It also has a selector dial to choose which audio signal to route to the output and, presumably, into the synthesizer. The kit also includes a set of contact microphones, a radio, and a pendant.
Of course, you don’t have to use Selector 8 with one of Elta Music’s instruments. Passive selectors are becoming more popular as an alternative to mixers and patchbays. At €200, this is a relatively affordable way to add a passive switcher to your studio.

Knif Audio New 5U System Teased
A post on Matrixsynth has revealed that Jonte Knif of Knif Audio is working on a new 5U modular system. If you know Knif Audio, you know that the high-end audio company is known for its use of tubes. No surprises then that this new 5U system will be tube-based.

Information is very sparse right now, but according to the pictures in the original post, which were “pulled from Facebook,” there will be a BBD Delay module, plus a number of as-yet unidentified ones.
If you’ve ever heard the Knifonium, Knif Audio’s tube synthesizer, you’ll know how exciting this is. No word yet on when or how much, but the year 2026 was mentioned.

Jean-Michel Jarre Livestream
Lastly, set a reminder for the Jean-Michel Jarre livestream. The Jean-Michel Jarre livestream will be taking place on Facebook, where the man himself promises to talk about his new album, Live in Bratislava, and share some stories from behind the concert. I imagine some of those will involve Sir Brian May of Queen, who played guitar during the performance.
