Ohmforce Bohm goes into overdrive with the just-dropped HPN model from techno artist Marc Faenger. Hypnotic sequences and rumbles for days.

New HPN Model
Techno is all about that kick. Who needs basslines when you can rumble the kick? Bohm from Ohmforce was already a great module (or set of modules, really), but this new engine takes things to another Berghain level.
Called HPN – the HPN stands for Hypnotic, doncha know – it uses a copy of the kick to generate full sequences including pitch and velocity variations. You get control over the length and color, and can generate new sequences with the Seed parameter. The model includes a variety of scales to keep things interesting, plus some effects from the Ohmicide module, including a lowpass filter with 2- and 4-pole modes.
Listen to the demo and tell me that doesn’t sound fantastic.
The new model is available for registered owners of Bohm through the Ohmforce website.

Now Available to Preorder
[17 February 2026] The triple kick Eurorack threat that is Ohmforce Bohm is finally available to preorder. Find out how to get them now.
Now Available
Plugin company Ohmforce surprised everyone with its introduction of the Bohm stereo dual voice kick system, a trio of Eurorack modules called Bohm, Bohm:Groove and Bohm:Performer. They’re finally all available to preorder at Thomann*. Can you kick it? I think you know the answer to that.
Stereo Dual Voice Kick System Brings the Boom
[7 May 2025] Kick up a storm with Ohmforce Bohm and its three Eurorack modules: a kick voice, secondary groove kick module, and ducker.
Ohmforce Bohm
Ohmforce’s Ohmboyz is one of my all-time favorite plugins. Last year, the developer put its classic Ohmicide distortion into a Eurorack module, and now it’s continuing its foray into hardware with another module – and this time it’s an original.
Called Bohm, it’s actually a trio of modules that form a complete system. What kind of system? Ohmforce Bohm represents a stereo Eurorack dual-voice kick solution comprised of three modules: Bohm, Bohm:Groove and Bohm:Performer.
Ohmforce Bohm: Kick It
Bohm the main module is a stereo 18HP affair with a Micro SD card reader. And loaded on the accompanying card are nine OIFF (Ohm Force Interchange File Format) files, each with a unique kick machine circuit on it. These models are, as you might expect, digital, and run the gamut from FM to wavetable. Along with holding models, the SD Card also allows you to import your own wavetables and samples and update the firmware.

Here are the nine engines:
FM-2X: a two-operator FM kick model, with each operator a wavetable oscillator
HZ-1: a wavetable kick drum with a transient synthesizer
OLP-4: a four-operator FM kick model
PM-K1: a kick drum based on physical modeling
PX-3: a complex wavetable kick drum model with sampler intended for hard techno
SP-6: a wavetable with digital waveforms and a sampler
VX-T: a wavetable kick drum with a different transient synthesizer
WT-4: a wavetable kick drum model featuring analogue waveforms and sampler
XT-88: a wavetable kick drum model with a sampler that allows you to load your own wavetables and samples
Ohmforce Bohm features a number of controls, including a Function encoder to create variations of the kicks and a Randomize menu to tweak out the variations even further. Other functionality includes a trigger button, Length, Sustain for adjusting perceived volume, Pitch, Pitch Curve for 808-style booms, Attack, TRS Decay and TRS Tone for fine-tuning the transient, Color andFX. There’s also a Velocity CV control.
Ohmforce Bohm:Groove and Bohm: Performer
The full Bohm set also includes two optional modules. The first is the 10HP Bohm:Groove, which adds a second kick voice to – as the name suggests – create sequences around the main Bohm kick triggered by clock divisions. Parameters include Clock with four divisions per beat, Taps for setting the volume of each tap, Vol for volume, Length, FX and Color.

The final piece of the Bohm puzzle is Bohm: Performer. Designed for live performance, this 8HP module mixes the two kick voices together and adds stereo processing for external audio, sidechain ducking and additional effects, including a DJ-style highpass and lowpass filtering, beat roll and slip roll.
Ohmforce Bohm: Price and Availability
Ohmforce states that all of the modules feature 48kHz audio sample rate, 24-bit hardware audio converters, 32-bit floating point internal processing, true stereo audio, and high-fidelity Texas Instruments Burr-Brown audio converters.
Given the focus on dual kick drums, this is likely aimed at the techno crowd, but even just the Bohm unit alone looks like a versatile kick drum solution for different kinds of rigs.
Ohmforce plans to make the Bohm set available in June 2025, with the main Bohm module costing €369, Bohm:Groove €139 and Bohm:Performer €99. All prices quoted include VAT in Europe. Find out more at the link below (note that the Bohm product page won’t go live until May 8, the start of Superbooth).
