It’s the time between Easter and Superbooth, and we’re right in the middle of spring, a time when prices are dropping, and manufacturers are rolling out one new release after another. For this week’s deals, we’ve uncovered three deals at Thomann for you. The Moog Mother-32, Sennheiser headphones and a microphone, and a Positive Grid practice amp are on sale. There’s something for everyone!

Compared to DFAM and Labyrinth, Moog Mother-32 always seems to be a bit overshadowed. Because after all, it’s just a “normal” modular synth in an expander-sized case. And if you’ve been eyeing modules and cables, you might as well just go all in on Eurorack. But I don’t want to badmouth the Mother-32. On the contrary, if you want to dip your toes into the world of modular synths and Moog, you won’t find a better place to start.

You get the compact format, a 32-step sequencer, the legendary Moog ladder filter, and a 32-point patchbay. The Moog Mother-32 offers everything you need to get started in the world of modular synthesis. And it does so with that signature Moog sound. Even if you’re just dipping your toes into the world of synths, you’ll quickly see (and, above all, hear) just how far ahead of the competition Moog really is.

You can also save 10 percent* on the DFAM modular drum synth. The Labyrinth and Subharmonicon are also on sale, each by 6 percent!

Positive Grid Spark Go: A Practice Amp in White with 15% Off

Analog purists and digital skeptics are quick to judge entry-level gear from brands like Positive Grid, Blackstar, or Nux harshly. Unfairly so! Why buy a so-called “legendary” amp in the mid-four-figure range when you can’t crank it up at home anyway, especially when you only play and practice once or twice a week?

Positive Grid Spark GO · Source: Positive Grid

When it comes to playing and practicing casually, just messing around, or (of course, you all do that, right? RIGHT?) practicing for the next rehearsal, these practice amps make a lot more sense. And the Spark Go from Positive Grid offers so much functionality that you simply have to grab it at this price!

This compact 5-watt practice amp serves as an amplifier, an audio interface (when connected to your computer, you can record your guitar directly!), and a Bluetooth speaker for listening to music at the same time! Plus, Positive Grid’s free Spark app offers useful tools, such as automatic chord display when you play along with songs on YouTube and AI-generated backing tracks. All of this is available on the go thanks to the built-in battery.

At Thomann, the Pearl White version is currently 15 percent* off!

Dynamic microphone and headphones from Sennheiser with up to 14% savings!

And finally, after the Moog Mother-32 and Positive Grid Spark Go, let’s move on to the studio gear section. Here, we’ve got two deals on gear from Sennheiser. First up is the E 935. Many consider it a much better-sounding alternative to the SM-58. It just isn’t quite as rugged and indestructible.

But if you’ve been considering giving your vocal sound an upgrade on stage, you really can’t go wrong with the E 935. The tonal character of this dynamic microphone is also a bit more more flattering for softer voices and not quite as harsh in the midrange as the SM-58. At Thomann, the Sennheiser E935 is currently on sale for a 14 percent* discount.

There is also a pair of hi-fi headphones from Sennheiser available at Thomann for a lowered price, namely the HD 560S. Just to avoid any misunderstandings, these are explicitly hi-fi headphones, NOT studio headphones. In other words, you’ll enjoy a premium sound when watching movies on your computer or gaming. However, especially in mixing and mastering, there might be a bit too much coloration in the sound to be able to judge subtle details.

The Sennheiser HD 560S are currently 10% off* at Thomann!
