Witch Pig Starscraper: Pitch-Shifting Reverse Delay
Whenever Witch Pig releases a new free plugin, you can be sure it ventures off the beaten path. I’m also a big fan of the developer’s creative use of motion graphics. His latest creation is Starscraper, a pitch-shifting reverse delay that adds a unique character and spatial depth to any sound.

The reverse delay syncs to your song tempo and offers feedback and mix controls for blending the effect with your input signal. The standout feature is that you can offset the pitches of the left and right channels to create anything from subtle shimmer to chaotic dissonance.
Judging by the demo video, Starscraper sounds fantastic on lead guitars, but also works great for cinematic textures and more experimental sound design.
Starscraper is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats. To get the plugin for free, the developer asks that you subscribe to his YouTube channel.
