We’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented Graphic & Production Designer to join our team in Asheville, NC. In this role, you’ll take customer ideas, artwork, and specifications and turn them into professional signs, graphics, marketing materials, and finished products.
You’ll work alongside Sales, Production, Management, vendors, and customers, making sure every project is accurately designed, properly prepared for production, and delivered according to customer expectations.

What You’ll Do
- Create digital print and cut files for signs, graphics, and other finished products.
- Develop customer proof images and 3D marketing illustrations for major projects.
- Create and modify designs based on customer artwork, drawings, files, or specifications.
- Prepare layouts, illustrations, sketches, and copy for print and production.
- Review work orders and accurately interpret project specifications.
- Determine the best design and production method based on customer needs.
- Prepare files for digital printers, plotters, routers, engravers, and other production equipment.
- Inspect files for accuracy before sending them to production.
- Verify dimensions, colors, materials, and equipment settings.
- Make corrections, re-cuts, and reprints when necessary.
- Provide professional proofs for customer or regulatory approval.
- Scan, edit, convert, organize, and maintain customer files.
- Source appropriate images and graphics while understanding copyright, licensing, and image-use requirements.
- Locate stock photography and other digital assets when needed.
- Maintain organized digital archives and customer files.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure designs can be accurately reproduced.
- Communicate with Sales, Production, customers, subcontractors, and vendors regarding project requirements and timelines.
- Help identify appropriate materials and assist with purchasing when needed.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Provide production assistance when requested.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient graphics workspace.
- Provide basic technical support and assist with computer/network-related needs when appropriate.
- Support the front counter and answer phones when needed.
- Learn to identify customer needs and help identify potential sales opportunities.

Physical Requirements

- Lift 50+ pounds when required.
- Assist with production activities as needed.
Compensation
$37,000–$57,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
